What a Man!
I am one of those millions of people all over the world who rejoiced over Obama’s victory. I feel that it is a sign that racial discrimination is finally coming to an end (hopefully). However, I couldn’t help but admire McCain for his sportmanship and for his courage to accept his defeat.
It’s natural to feel some disappointment. Though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours…We have come to the end of a long journey…The American people have spoken, and they have spoken clearly.
Wow! What a man!
In his concession speech, he didn’t accused anyone of cheating nor he blamed others for not being elected as the United States President. Instead, he encouraged all the Americans to support Obama! I think it simply shows that he is indeed a good man with the best intentions for his country. Forgive me for being skeptical but I doubt if Filipino politicians can do that
I don’t usually listen to speeches and I’m not really into politics. Either I find myself falling asleep or thinking of other things but McCain’s speech was really amazing. To say the least, it was ‘heart-felt’. Makes me wanna think that there’s more to life than all these pursuit of money, fame and power.
But then, it’s just me … my opinion. So don’t take it seriously.
Cheers!
